Bit of a mixed bag this week, which I quite like. There’s a £1 coffee every Friday for the rest of October, a few quid off a tank of petrol if your weekly shop is big enough anyway, and half price towels at Dunelm (collect only though). IKEA have also opened their own second-hand marketplace, which is worth a look if there’s a bookcase in the loft doing nothing. As usual the catch is under each one, so you don’t have to go hunting for it.
If there’s something you’d like me to keep an eye out for, just reply.

£1 coffee
Costa for £1, every Friday in October
What is it? Any regular Costa Express drink for £1 at Co-op stores with a Costa machine. Hot or cold, syrups included.
How much? £1, down from the usual £2.40 to £4.15.
Worth knowing:
Fridays only. Three left: 16, 23 and 30 October
Regular size only
Not every Co-op has a machine, check the store finder first
While stocks last, so go early
No code or app needed, the price is already on the machine

Cheap petrol!
Cheaper fuel: Tesco 8p or Asda 5p?
What is it? Two supermarkets knocking money off a litre if you do a big enough shop in store.
How much?
Tesco: 8p a litre. £4 off a 50 litre fill, up to £8
Asda: 5p a litre. £2.50 off a 50 litre fill
Worth knowing (Tesco):
Spend £60 in one in-store shop by Sunday 18 October and you get a paper coupon
Use it by Sunday 25 October
The £60 counts after any discounts, so a £62 basket with a £5 voucher won't qualify
Online orders, click and collect and Whoosh don't count
No Clubcard needed
Pay at the kiosk, not at the pump, and take the paper coupon with you
Tesco Express sites selling Esso fuel are excluded
Worth knowing (Asda):
You have to qualify by Wednesday 14 October, so it's tomorrow or never
Spend £40 in one in-store shop and scan the Asda Rewards app
Only works if you were already a Rewards member before the offer started. Joining now won't get it
Coupon lands in the app, use it by 31 October
Verdict: Don't add £15 of shopping you don't need to save £3 on fuel. And an 8p discount doesn't make Tesco the cheapest station if the one down the road is already 10p less, so check local prices first.
